How RollTheCal calculates: sources, formulas and limits

A calculator is only useful if you can trust it. This page explains where the data comes from, which formulas we use, how we check results and, most of all, when the math may not match the game.
Where the data comes from
| Data | Source | Update |
|---|---|---|
| Room and miners | Public RollerCoin profile | When you load the account |
| Inventory | Text you paste in the Inventory tab | When you paste |
| League power distribution | Optional bookmark, in your own session | When you click |
| Active events | Public game data | Periodically |
| News | Official RollerCoin blog | Periodically |
| Burn points | You type them from the game card | Stored in your browser |
RollTheCal does not ask for your password, does not act in the game and is an independent project with no official link to RollerCoin.
Power formula
League power = miner power × (1 + bonus %) + rack bonus
We checked this against a real Platinum II room: 18,020.26 Ph/s of miners, 450.29% bonus and 829.88 Ph/s of racks give 99.9935 Eh/s, exactly the value on the game's league bar. The steps are in how power and bonus work.
Rules included in the math
- Copies: each miner's bonus counts once. See the guide.
- Racks: the bonus only applies to miners inside the rack.
- League: it uses the record, which never drops, so the site shows that as the main number and the current room separately.
- Temporary power: Freon and games help you mine, but stay out of the league math.
Earnings formula
Daily earnings = block reward × blocks per day × (your power ÷ network power)
When you switch coins, your power leaves one network and enters another. The calculator accounts for that, which is more realistic than comparing coins without touching network power. See which coin to mine.
How burning is calculated
The calculator looks for the combination that reaches the goal losing the least power. For inventory miners, the cost is their own power. For room miners, the cost includes what the league loses from bonus and rack. See the burn guide.
Limits: when the math may not match
- The game can change rules or values without notice.
- Profile data may lag behind what you see on screen.
- The network changes every block, so earnings are an estimate, not a promise.
- Coin prices move, and the money result moves with them.
- Incomplete pasted text gives an incomplete inventory.
How news and guides are written
We start from the official announcement, with the source link on each news post, and add our own math and comparisons. When a number is our calculation or just an example, the text says so. Nothing here is financial advice: RollerCoin is a game, and earnings are not guaranteed.
