Which coin to mine in RollerCoin: reading the earnings

In RollerCoin you choose which coins to put your power into. Each coin has its own reward, its own block time and its own competition. This guide shows how to compare them and decide.
The earnings formula
On each block, the reward is split among everyone mining that coin, in proportion to each player's power:
Earnings per day = block reward × blocks per day × (your power ÷ network power)
- Block reward: how much the coin pays on each block in your league.
- Blocks per day: 86,400 seconds ÷ block time. One block every 10 minutes gives 144 blocks per day.
- Network power: the total power of everyone mining that coin in your league.
A real example
USDT in a Platinum II league, with 102.3 Eh/s of mining power:
| Data | Value |
|---|---|
| Block reward | 1.9142 USDT |
| Block time | 8 min 54 s (about 162 blocks per day) |
| Network power | 28.209 Zh/s |
| Your share | 102.3 Eh/s ÷ 28,209 Eh/s ≈ 0.36% |
| Earnings | ≈ 0.0069 USDT per block, ≈ 1.12 USDT per day |
Dilution: switching coins changes the math
When you already mine a coin, your power is already part of its network power. If you switch to another coin, your power leaves one and enters the other, increasing the competition in the new coin. That's why a coin with a small network can look great but pay less once you join it.
Don't look only at the amount
- Price: compare by the value in US$ per day, not by the number of coins.
- Withdrawal minimum: each coin has a minimum to withdraw. A coin that pays well but takes months to reach the minimum may not be worth it. See Withdrawal minimum for each coin.
- Withdrawals off: sometimes RollerCoin disables withdrawals for a coin. It keeps mining, but you can't take it out of the game while it stays that way.
- Game currencies (RLT, RST, HMT): used inside RollerCoin and have no market price.
The numbers change all the time
Network power changes when other players switch coins, and block times vary. It's worth checking the earnings from time to time, especially after events, when many players switch coins.
